NEED FOR SPEED 3 ROM offers five different modes including Single Race, Tournament, Knockout, Practice, and Hot Pursuit. Hot Pursuit is one of the more fun modes you're likely to see in a racing game, as it gives you the chance to go on the lam and lead the cops on a wild goose chase. 

Pay attention, though, because the police have some tricks up their sleeves, namely tire spikes and roadblocks. Tournament is the deepest mode, as it lets you enter a series of racing tours in order to prove your dominance. 

There are eight cars and eight tracks in the game, although not all of them are available from the get-go. But you can unlock the new cars and tracks by performing well with the initial cars and tracks. Some of the well-known cars you can expect to drive are Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Chevrolet.

Gran Turismo 2 expands on its famous predecessor with even more variety. The game features more than 600 cars, 27 tracks, hundreds of challenges, and more depth and replay value than any other racer on the face of planet. 

The challenges are divided into different racing experiences ranging from arcade to simulation, street to rally racing, and more. The two-disc set offers a straightforward approach in Arcade mode, which provides three different classes of cars to choose from, three levels of difficulty, and either direct competition against the computer or head-to-head play. 

In Arcade mode, players can simply get right in and race. If you simply want to get used to the game, this mode is for you. You can take part in street races, rally races, check out a cool Replay Theater mode and race against time in Time Trial, or your own Ghost Car in rally mode

After selecting the perfect vehicle, you can race in exotic locations like Hawaii, Jamaica, Moscow, North Carolina, Japan, Scotland, Australia, Italy, and England. 

There are 18 tracks in all, divided between point-to-point courses and circuits. When you are ready for some competition, there are several modes to choose from. Single Race is one race on any of the unlocked tracks, Cup Race lets you take on the challenges of multiple races for the opportunity to win a championship, and Time Trial mode lets you race against your best time on any track.
